Playing to the scoreboard?

Oct 16, 2022, 9:43 AM

I get what hes saying but I'm thinking more that the D was feeding off of the offense energy level. Feels a lot more like the offensive staff, play calls and passiveness, all were a result of looking at the scoreboard. I'm pretty sure the only plays run in the 4th quarter was Shipley run or DJ run. Quite frankly it's a bit head scratching as I really would have loved to get Cade in the game for a couple of series. Oh well, it's a win.

You nailed it, agree completely. But like you said also, we got the win

We attempted two passes from our own EZ in 4th quarter

... after stopping a potential Nole TD drive and taking over on downs.

Both passes fell incomplete and we punted after using almost no clock.

Those were bold play calls late in the game that just didn’t work.

Yeah especially since they've been talking so much

about complimentary football. I think the offense was watching the scoreboard as much as the D.
