Pittman hits portal!

Mycah Pittman transferring. Big loss for the Noles in my opinion. They’ve got receivers getting better, but Pittman and Wilson have been their best. That’s from afar watching FSU. FSU fans may think otherwise. But I do know he has been good for them.

$$$$$$ has to be.
Because, he built a solid reputation for himself at FSU.
Wonder what BretFSU thinks. bretfsu®

I guarantee you he ends up at USC. He’s from California, his brother who is great in the NFL played there, and Caleb Williams may be a sure fire Heisman candidate.
And the money there

Oh, well, yep! Didn't realize he was a Cali kid. Southern Cal made Jordan Addison a 1st round pick. At Pitt; he would have still been drafted; but not 1st round.
Maybe what Pittman is thinking.

Actually his stats are not very impressive. One game over 50 yards last year and it was early in the season as were his 3 TD's. I don't think he scored a TD or had over 20 yards in their last 5+ games. My guess is he has been passed by other receivers and doesn't like it.

Probably a mixture of several reasons.

NIL More competition at WR this year than last.
But, if I were somebody recruiting him I would be concerned about his injury. He has surgery after the season on his hip. Will probably fully recover, but with an injury who knows? He did not participate in any Spring practice work.
FSU will definitely be looking for someone to return punts. Tried several people throughout the Spring, but none stood out as ready for prime time.

As my brother says, "Often wrong, but never in doubt."
I gave my analysis in another post on this thread. Won't repeat it here.
But, I will add this.
It is surprising to me. This is the first guy who seemed to be "all in" at FSU who entered the portal. Other guys have left because they looked at the depth chart and realized their playing time at FSU is limited. Pittman, if fully recovered from hip surgery, seemed like we would definitely be in the rotation. And, no matter where he goes, he's not the caliber of receiver whose gonna be a Biletnikoff finalist or a first round draft pick. He is a solid receiver and a great leader. He makes others better.
He only caught 33 passes for 350 yards last year. I'm not saying that to belittle him. I like him. he was a tremendous help as a punt returner. He was great at downfield blocking. He will be missed. Just saying he's not the type of guy who will step on the field at Colorado or Baylor or Tennessee or anywhere else and turn into the number one guy in the rotation.
