So he can't even beat out Zach Gibson for backup QB. Remind me again why he chose Ga Tech to transfer to.

I never understood taking a qb from Connecticut. And I live in a New England state.

I think this was one of those "what kind of competition" did he face things. He had the measurables and a good coachable attitude. I can see how we missed on his raw "potential"!
But, you win some and lose some!

We needed a backup type of player for Debth at QB1. I believe transferring hurt his development

Dabo was impressed with his high school. It reminded him of Hogwarts. I guess he was under TP’s wizard spell ?.

He was a carbon copy of Kelly Bryant coming out of high school.
The difference was that KB developed to the point of being functional as a passer.
Whether from injuries or something else, TP never came close to even being serviceable as a passer.
Once the Achilles injury slowed him down a little, he had nothing left to offer in the passing or running game except against UCONN.

There are quite a few schools DJ wouldn't be starting for if he weren't with us. GT or Virginia ain't two of them though.

Not sure anyone said TP should be starting.
Plenty of people asked why we didn't have a competent backup given QB1 was hurt and struggling.

I agree there were people concerned about the backup situation, but

there were definitely tons of folks calling for TP to play instead of DJ. Two different things, obviously, but both definitely existed last year.
Point is, there's a reason TP wasn't playing. You understood it, but not everybody did.

That's just the facts. A lot of us called it his freshman year.
He should focus on getting his degree and what he will do after leaving college (which won't be football).
