I'm assuming they'll be bussed Thursday or at least bussed to Greenville. Tnet staff should do a feature story and post times when they leave for Bama. The ladies deserve to have a huge sendoff...
Reason I posted this under football is I get rejected posting topics to softball.

if the baseball team makes a regional would you say the following: Gentlemen deserve a nice sendoff? Have you ever seen our baseball team referred to as gentlemen which is the masculine version of ladies?
Why not say: Our softball team deserves a nice sendoff?

I've heard some female athletes mention not liking phrases like "the girls team" such as "the girls basketball tournament" while making a point that the men's is almost always referred to as "the men's tournament." I've never seen anyone complain about "ladies" being used though, but it's possible. It's one of those situations where I say to look towards the intent of what someone is saying, but it is what it is.

Do you just look for things to get offended by? This is a positive post about sending off the softball team to regionals and you want to nitpick over pronouns and gender comparisons. Get a life.

Yeah, looking at the top 16 seeds I am surprised we are not hosting. Even more surprised that we are in a bracket with the #3 seed. I find it hard to believe that if we weren't a top 16 we should have been close. Meaning a match up against a team seeded in the teens... Best remedy is to win the region. Go Tigers!
