Yikes....

Mar 25, 2014, 2:21 PM

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/obama-im-concerned-about-loose-nuke-being-detonated-manhattan_786009.html

You know, ignoring one scenario is what leads to the other. Imagine if Clinton was on the record saying he's more worried about terrorists flying a plane into a building in NY than he was of Al Quida causing trouble in Afghanistan. Yikes. Scary ignorance of foreign policy.

If Obama's worst fear comes to fruition, it will most likely be because someone in one of the places he has been ignoring (N. Korea, Iran, China, Russia, etc.) will bring their hatred to us. We ignored Japan's march through the western Pacific and we got Pearl Harbor. We ignored Hitler in Europe and we got WWII. And even with all of our hindsight, I'm sure the libs will point out that we didn't ignore N. Vietnam and look what happened. I would say look what DID NOT happen. And we're ignoring Putin's march through Crimea right now.

nothing to worry about Russia is no threat

Mar 25, 2014, 2:32 PM

OBAMA: “With respect to Mr. Romney’s assertion that Russia is our number one geopolitical foe, the truth of the matter is that America’s got a whole lot of challenges. Russia is a regional power that is threatening some of its immediate neighbors not out of strength, but out of weakness. Ukraine has been a country in which Russia had enormous influence for decades, since the breakup of the Soviet Union.”

Regional powers always look to have military base access in Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba.

we should have NEVER sucked up to them years ago under clinton..and if we had a president now that they believed had some BACKBONE they would not have done this.. Europe needs to stand with us on this but they have no backbone either!

Still don't hear any kind of solution there.

Just rhetoric.

I don't have one either, but usually people just complain

Mar 25, 2014, 3:25 PM

about what Obama is/isn't doing.

It sounds like some people are indirectly calling for some sort of military assistance in pushing them out.

Past decade +, wasted chasing al quida tails. Spread thin...

wearing of fighting terrorism, while Russia sat back watching and waiting.

The barn door was left open and, the horse has long gone. I don't know that we, as one world police, can do anything about it, at this point. Obama administration only carries the past 6 years of the burden and, should not be excused because it was inherited. Although, nothing more could or should have been expected of the community organizer.

Solution is let the Europeans handle it. Until they get

Mar 25, 2014, 3:58 PM [ in reply to I don't have one either, but usually people just complain ]

serious about sanctions Putin will do what he wants. Halting of arms sales, tapering off the use of Russian oil and gas, limiting use of EU banks, and travel restrictions are what the EU should do, but they can't agree on which ones and how much.

Best thing Obama admin can do it is continue to condemn it in the world press. Use the opportunity to strengthen US/EU relations, hold their hand, pat'em on the back and tell'em it'll be OK. Pooty Poot wants to be the bad guy...let him be.
