Panthers trading away the farm.

Is there a business case for just being terrible, having a low payroll, and collecting profit sharing from the good teams?

Their farm produces no crops or wins so who cares?

The NFL. So I don’t think it’s about making extra profit; it’s just good ole fashioned incompetence.

At least they have 3 more draft picks they can spend snubbing Clemson players. Leaving the most loyal fan base in the market out in the cold has been a great strategy so far.

to basically draft and trade for every Clemson player he could get his hands on.
Honest to god, if someone put all of the best Clemson players in the NFL right now, with a competent coaching staff and support staff, on one team, they would make the playoffs.

What is the point in keeping him if the team is so horrible on that side of the ball?
Those draft picks will do more for the panthers than he would under the circumstances.
Team is in a rebuild mode and need the draft capital.

He must have learned how to manage a sports team under the same class as Robert Nutting, owner of the Pittsburgh Pirates. One of the lowest payrolls in baseball, very shallow farm system (though getting slightly better after having a losing season 6 out of the past 7). From all appearances, it looks like Nutting just likes to pocket the surplus the team gets.

For some reason they refuse to draft Clemson players. I guess they have no aspiration to be good?

Quite complaining. They robbed the 49ers

I follow the 49ers. They gave up way too much unless CMC somehow helps them win the Super Bowl this year.
But he won't. He'll eventually get injured.
