Good bar to get a burger and cold beer in tiger town?

I have the afternoon off and Plan to purchase the annual hat/ shirt. Looking for a good bar that has a good burger. Suggestions?

Everyone will say Esso or BGR, but I think Backstreets has a good beer selection and big, juicy burgers. Obviously lots to choose from!

Tiger Town Tavern. Best bar in Clemson. Get the TTT's burger and a pitcher of PBR for under $15. Can't beat it.

I remember a while back the saying that some people didn't like Miller because of the aftertaste and others didn't like PBR because it's was beer tastes like after.

Blue heron down by the ole dollar theater has awesome burgers as well. Take your pick as far as beers go.
BGR is overpriced and overrated.

Here's their burger special from today. That was my favorite place when I was in school for a good burger and decent beer selection

or BGR. Don't be fooled by its short-order set up. They have good draft beer on tap and pitchers. Their burgers are excellent. If you are looking for more of a sit down and order on a menu restaurant, I would recommend Loose Change for a seat at the window looking out on College Ave.
The Blue Heron restaurant down the hill on College Ave. is marketed as a sushi and more upscale restaurant offering killer specialty entrees, but they have a downstairs bar and very good burgers on their menu.

I second that . Nearly 55$ for 3 cheese burgers, 3 drinks and 3 fries. Not worth it at all. I'd go to the firehouse across the road first.

Firehouse is great, but also overpriced. I'm not saying BGR was a great "value" he didn't ask for a value burger. He asked for a good burger and beer. BGR has good beer on tap and good burgers IMO.
