UGA O-Line Recruiting

Sep 17, 2022, 2:29 PM

I've been watching the UGA OL and they are not too shabby (that's about the best compliment UGA will get from me). I know I don't remember every name of every player Clemson recruits and I only recognized a couple names of their top 6 OL used against Uof7C so far. So, I decided to look up their recruiting profiles on 247 and of those top 6 OL, Clemson only offered 2 of them. Seems kind of odd and what are they seeing in OL recruits that the Tigers aren't?

They probably didn’t express any interest

In us because of TE’s tiddy bumping scheme. Just wait a second and let the DL attack you while You’re in a 2 pt stance.

Doing that on the goal line doesn’t make your OL look very good at all. We ain’t getting them drafted consistently either..

We don’t offer if they aren’t interested

Yes. But credit to T. Austin for making some steps in the right direction in recruiting this season.

Agreed, I’m happy with the changes we’ve seen

We actually have a lot of solid young guys right now. We will improve if we keep taking good #’s at OL.

It’s the toughest to hit on and develop. It only makes sense that we need to carry more of these guys on the roster. It’s the foundation of the offense.

Pains me to say this about UGA

But UGA is what we at Clemson used to be. Both offense and defense. Hopefully we'll return to those days. Imo it's why you've seen so many perceived "negative" posts. We're actually way behind several teams now. Roy bus used to be coach speak but now it's reality. I thought our defense would look like UGA D does.
