Just like they faked one of the initial technical papers on global warming that is still cited by people who maybe did not get the memo that the data was faked.

Anyway, here we go again. Very concerning when we cannot rely upon peer-reviewed journals to stay out of politics. Apparently, the leftists just can't help themselves. The end justifies the means. I.E., lie, cheat, and steal if you have to.

Are Christians and Jews smarter? Of course not. So what gives?

When a person believes God exists, one believes that truth exists because He does. Truth is thus external to us, and can be only discerned, not created. This is true of all truth: scientific, philosophical, social and historical. Such a world view makes for great researchers.

If God does not exist, truth is internal, and all bets are off. The pursuit of ideology over observation will become the norm.

For instance, if God exists, a man like George Washington must be assessed only by what we can observe, which is his desires, motivations, actions and faith at that time, none of which are perfect. But if there is no God, and thus no objective/external truth, GW can be refashioned into a racist - a ludicrous conclusion by reasonable standards - by assessing his actions against current cultural definitions of truth. Of course this has already happened, as his portraits on high school walls have been painted over via this exact process.

That our culture is rushing away from the belief that truth is external cannot be denied. A president just introduced a Day of Prayer by invoking societal issues while not mentioning God even once; the ascendance of self over God is becoming culturally complete. Everything we hear and see in media is therefore about ideology, no matter how it is presented. 1984.

Edit: In case anyone is interested, the source - one of many - for my comments is linked here. I made an honest mistake: I looked at this years ago, remembered the number as just over 90%. The actual number is just over 85%. Same.

Again, this is not to say anyone is smarter than anyone else or has any inside tracks. It is about how one views truth, and the individual's role in perceiving it. As our view of truth changes, as it must if our belief in God changes, a degrading of culture will necessarily occur
