He's a really big dude. It would be nothing for him to be a 240-250 lbs guy. He has the physical tools to be an all world TE. If he went to the other side of the ball, imagine how much of a monster he would be as 230-240 lbs Safety. He'd have WRs shaking in their boots. To me he's a better Safety prospect than all the top guys on our board from a potential standpoint.

Some coaches think he would be one hell of a DE. I wouldn't be suprised if scar told him everything he wanted to hear, just to eventually turn him into a TE. I love Ortre I think he would be awesome in our scheme but he doesn't have many elite qualities to ever be out #1. I hope he land the kid though.

My take is that even if he does commit to the coots, once he sees the dumpster fire that is USuCk football, he will re-open his recruitment.
I don't know what Muschamp's sales pitch is, to be honest: "Hey, OrTre, come play for me. I failed as a head coach in FL with 5* talent. So it's pretty unlikely I'll succeed here with 2-3 star talent. But hey, at least you'll start. I have no idea who will throw the ball to you, though---that is if our QB has time to throw since we suck at the tackle positions. One QB is too short, the other was a Publix bagboy--the other's right out of high school. But hey, you'll be the man."
Honestly, what is the appeal?

Like I said earlier, I tend to agree with your statement. See attached. In June he actually was quoted as saying he considers himself an athlete because he not only can play special teams, safety, etc.; but says he wishes he could play safety more! He told the coaches from all the schools recruiting him that he is flexible and is willing to change positions, whatever he can do to help the team. I don't think it's beyond the realms of reality that we may see him at, or transition to, the defensive back field.
