Sorry, but that was Northwestern not a true top 10 ten power. Rittman has built Clemson quickly, but the fans that say we are elite, are delusional. We a solid and a top 15-20 program. Currently that is what we are. Get mad blast me it's OK. That doesn't change who we are. Top 5 was an over ranking. It's year 3 with covid sprinkled in. We are still 2-3 years from being elite. FSU is elite. Did you not see tbe difference ?

Yes, so far that was the highlight of the season…whipping a Northwestern team that had not yet played a home game, and teeing off on a very good pitcher who lives and dies on the change up.
Successful Softball is all about making improvements within a game, within the season. We still have time.

I'm not denigrating them. Though any pitcher that overuses their change up will get hammered occasionally, just like against our Tigers.
And did you notice how "returning the entire team" worked for the Tarheels MBB team? Every team, every season is different. Their early season has not been as good as last year--yet.

When we face good pitching we crumble. Definitely gonna have to change something if we truly want to be elite

We've fielded poorly and Cagle didn't have her best stuff but far and away our hitting is been the biggest problem. This game is still very winnable if we can keep them under 3 runs. But we have to start hitting like now!

Being too aggressive early in the count. FSU on the otherhand is making Thompson labor and taking every at bat deep into the count. Have to make an adjustment at the plate.

We also couldn’t hit Vs Alabama two years ago

Or against OK State last year. Going to have to find a way to crack into elite pitchers if this program is to take another step
