Our schedule isn’t all that weak my opinion

Jan 23, 2020, 3:55 PM

Improved teams that will be ranked seasons end.

1. ND could finish top 10
2. Virginia they lose Perkins but could still be good
3. Louisville this program getting better and better. Fully expect 9-3 type year
4. FSU ok probably won’t finish ranked but should be improved.

Georgia tech another team that should improve.

Bottom line I expect we play 3 ranked teams next season.

I wish Akron was the first game of the season. Give the offensive line practice ahead of conference play. Also wish we didn’t play on Friday.

What makes the ACC look weak is CLEMSON. And the ACC / Clemson haters gonna hate.

Looking at you ESPN.

I am not big on pulling for other teams in the conference. However, given all the BS we keep hearing about strength of schedule we need the ACC to help us out.

Definitely need a team like Louisville to rise up next year to at least compete in the Atlantic, and we need a team to separate in the Coastal. Notre Dame needs to win games next year and give us a good road win. UNC needs to step up next year and win 10 games. Interesting game on Sept 12 where the Heels play Auburn.

Va Tech plays Penn State at home on Sept 12th. Another chance to help the league.

UVA plays UGA In Atlanta Sept 7th. No clue what UVA will look like but same can be said for UGA. Might catch them early enough to snag an upset.

We need a coastal team to win a lot of games and be ranked in the top 15 at the end of the season.

Don't understand why any team or fan, doesn't pull for other conference teams when playing outside the conference?? I mean what are you thinking? It only helps your team . . .

What makes the ACC look weak was their combined 6-14 regular season against other P5 conferences and their the 4-7 bowl record. What makes them look weak is being weak.

Top 10 UF winning by 8 vs UVA. Top 10 Penn St scraping by Pitt at Penn State. VT taking ND to the wire etc I believe is more so his point, that although they are not as good and as much of a "signature win" as those teams but they're not far off and not nearly as bad as Clemson tends to make them look.

Eh, just let em talk. Let’s face it, our schedule doesn’t pass the eye test, because to your points:

1) ND will not finish top 10. “Rudy” is the only reason they’re ever ranked.
2) Virginia was 9-5, beat only 1 ranked team, they’re bad at best. Now that they lose their QB, they’re worse than bad.
3) Louisville got blown out by Kentucky. Blown out. By Kentucky.
4) FSU improved might go 6-6 and win the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl next year. They’ll be g-r-r-r-reat

Let’s just hope we play a good team first round of the playoffs (not OU or Pac 12 team) so that the chatter won’t be too bad leading up to the NC.

Louisville went from a 2 win team to a bowl team so I expect improvement for sure especially with key starters returning. UVA losing Bryce Hall was huge last year I think they recruited quite well for being UVA but hard to imagine them eclipsing this season's results. FSU will be better as well as GT but I'd peg FSU as an 8 win team at least if Norvell pans the way he's expected to in year 1 plus their schedule is favorable with most of their better opponents coming to them.

Who is ND going to lose to besides us?? Norvell will have plenty of talent and may turn FSU around. UL played Kentucky great in the first half just let it gey away and they return a lot of talent. UNC has a chance to win 10 imo. Nobody is saying the ACC will have 3 or 4 power house teams next year but I believe we will play some ranked teams besides ND.

Yeah ND’s schedule is pretty bleak. But ours is too. I think they definitely lose to us and Wisconsin, and probably will lose to some unranked piece of garbage on their schedule. Maybe Louisville too.
