What an improvement this group has made over the past 2 years. It was funny watching Mark May and Lou Holtz on the BCS Bowl Preview show saying that we were not tough enough to defend Ohio State's ground game. Pollack and Palmer each defended us saying we were pretty good on D. It's clear May and Holtz had an agenda, and probably did not actually watch us much this year. Anyway, my point is Ohio State averaged 313 yards on the ground per game coming into the Orange Bowl. We held them to 193. 120 yards below their season average is pretty substantial. Hats off to our front. The exciting thing is that our entire D-line returns next year minus Beasley (probable). At LB we have to replace Shuey and Christian (hopefully Anthony stays). I know it kills Holtz and May to see us win the Orange Bowl...sorry America, we have an explosive offense that everyone loves to watch, but our defense is getting better by the day. Obviously we will have some major holes to fill across the board for '14, but so does everyone.
313 yard average, and we held them to 193. We ran for 198 meaning the little ol' Clemson Tigers outrushed the mighty Buckeyes.
