Don’t knock coaches much but a 2 back set

running the ball down their throat would’ve put this game away early. They simply could not stop the run game. Why play to the strength of their defense by continuously throwing unnecessary 1 on 1 balls on a streak down the sideline? Yes I know I don’t get paid millions to make play calls but it is what it is. Rant over.

Bubble screens and heaving it up and praying are the extent of our junior high passing game. If you don't love that you are a coot who is jealous of our obvious success.

Agreed. We did that and Mafah steam rolled them for a first down because they didn’t know whether to target Ship, DJ, or Mafah. Then we didn’t run that play again from what I can remember. I was screaming at the TV to just run it over and over until they stop it.

Thanks for bringing up the 2 back set. It worked last year and worked this year when used. Streeter struggles with what to do. If he would of used it as his base they win the game.

would’ve eliminated most of that by limiting their opportunities, putting them in panic mode and making their play calls more predictable.

If we just fed Mafah 70% and Shipley 30% of the runs and gave Shipley the screens, we win all day. Guess what, if we give the ball to Helms, Johnson and by golly if we gave ball to Cade, after we were up 16-0, guess who wins??? Good guys! Horrendous coaching job
