OSU lost the opener to VT and then won the NC

It's one game people. Do not overreact one way or the other. People were talking about our early season struggles last year too. OSU has a lot to improve on if they want to be a legitimate contender, but don't write anybody off after just the first week.

should've never hired Charlie Strong after 1 quarter against San Jose State. They went on to win by 20.
Overreacting is what they do around here.

Exactly. It took some mighty struggles and a loss

To get us into championship form. This struggle might end up helping OSU. It's just too darn early to tell.

I was definitely rooting for IU to pull the upset

and OSU looked pretty lethargic the first half, but I don't understand why there are so many posts talking about how they're overrated, or they suck, or they should be ranked around 20th. First game of the season OSU opened up on the road against a conference opponent. A conference opponent who had a completely new HC and coordinators...basically a completely new offensive system at IU. After OSU got to see what IU was doing and made halftime adjustments, it wasn't even close. If I can go ahead and sign up for a 28-pt win for all of Clemson's conference road games right now, I'm all for it.

I saw Dobbins at RB for tOSU, and possibly a WR if tOSU could finally manage to tire out a severely under-talented team that was one-dimensional and was easy to defend. Nah - I don't think I'm over-reacting when I say I saw almost nothing - or was that Urban's plan? I see tOSU as being easy to defend by stopping Dobbins, and...well - that's about it for me. Barrett is meh IMO.

Than when we played them. Especially their secondary. However, I'm not going to write anybody off and say they are overrated after week 1. Especially because the current polls are only fan/coach opinions and mean nothing.
They might improve and they might not. Just too much jerking of knees this morning.

Ohio State is loaded with talent and that's evident. But overall, they look like the same squad from last year except with a weaker secondary.

It's very hard to tell with the offense what it's going to do. That usually improves markedly between Week 1 and Week 2 - offenses rarely come in, in any kind of sync. So the first half of offensive miscues I just sorta shrugged over. Hard to get any sort of read on that.
One thing that was abundantly obvious though was how much smaller and slower OSU looked in the secondary. Despite the fact that we worked them pretty much at will at the LOS last year that secondary did, for the most part, keep even our fleet of WR's under control (something even Alabama was unable to do), and it had everything to do with those three guys who got drafted in the first round. They're now gone...and their absence was glaring last night. That's going to be harder to paper over as the year drags along.
