Oregon would blow out every SEC team except Bama..

I think they would beat Bama, due to Bama having a below average QB in AJ McCarron.

He is not below average. He is ranked 6th in QB rating. Tajh is 22. They just ask different things of their QB then we do or most teams do. Conner is is ranked 17th. But I know that Tajh is better QB. The best QB's don't lose games and control the ball. This is completely over looked today by QB's like Brady, Manning, or even Geno Smith (who is ranked 1st).

McCarron is just a game manager, if he was asked to do...

what Tajh does, he would be throwing at least 3 int's a game. Plus Bama hasn't played a good defense all year. College QB ratings can be very deceiving.

Good point, but we haven't seen McCarron have to. I'm not saying he can nor hat he can't. Lets see him prove before we judge that ability.

Well if he could Bama would have hung 60 on Ole Miss..

Bama was up 27-7 at half against Ole Miss. Ole Miss scored at TD to cut to a 27-14 point lead and all Bama could do was score two FG's in the second half. That's why I doubt his ability to make plays against a defense that will force Bama to pass more. Let's be honest Ole Miss is a terrible team and with Bama's talent they should have easily at least scored 50 points.

I believe last year in the SEC championship game, Alabama put the game in his hands and he did pretty well. Saban said that LSU would try and focus on stopping the run so Saban said we need to trust in our quarterback.

Lmao. You got me there. NFL is a little more defendant on the QB making plays. Where as the in college a QB can be just a game manager. I wish we could just un the ball and let Tajh make the throws here and there and rely on our D.......... But that int happening. Go Chad go!!!

But Brad Johnson did win a championship by being a game manager, of course he had that great Tampa Bay defense that made that possible. Interesting side note: In the NFL since 1992 only two average QB's (Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson) have won a Super Bowl. The rest have been good to great, including some current and future Hall of Fame QB's.

Rodney Williams was a good game manager

If you are surrounded by other talent, all you need is a quarterback to manage the game.
Alabama has won 2 out of 3 National Championships with a game manager at quarterback. I will take one every time.

the cupcake crap makes college ball look more like today's boxing universe BS than anything else. Personally I think Bamer could beat anyone, but would be very challenged by Oregon. Maybe we'll see in the MNC, but sucks that high level teams can't be related on somewhat equal terms. Same goes for us, the coots, and that totally overrated UGa team that somehow still gets cred
