Orange bowl question?

Coot friend says only way we make the Orange, even if FSU plays for NC is we have to beat them. Is this 100% accurate?

No I think we have a chance at the Orange even with a SC loss if FSU goes to the NC though they might pick an 11-2 Miami team over a 10-2 Clemson squad as the 2nd ACC pick. The ACC has extremely strong ties with the bowl. Basically we have to be in the Top 14 of the BCS and then the Bowls can take whoever they want out of the conference #2's (and the Orange Bowl would have the #2 + #3 picks).
