They then proceeded to lose 4 in a row.

In D1 baseball rankings, Long Beach St is 4-6 and ranked 25th. How is that?

Purdue is 12-0 and ranked 57th, several losing records ranked higher. Baseball rankings have always puzzled me but they seem to get it figured out by mid april.
