Opponents at the bottom of the hill
Aug 11, 2014, 9:18 AM

Just got to thinking and couldn't find anything on it when I searched the boards. Why does it seem like in the past several years, whenever we have a big time game at home, our opponents are allowed to meet us at the bottom of the hill? Other schools don't allow visiting teams the opportunity to go try and steal the thunder of the home team.

Rule. Similar to how some teams will wait for us to run down the hill before they exit the tunnel and some don't.

I think both teams that violated that unwritten rule had their ### handed to them, and one of those 2 teams ended up acting like total fools - just like their dumbazz coach.

That problem of "meeting" the Tigers at the bottom of the hill is very classless and disrespectful. Fault lies equally with the opposing coach and with stadium security.

I can think of few things less embarrassing than taunting an opponent and then losing. That goes for anything in life.
Heck, I have trouble talking smack in ping pong even if I'm game point and am up by 10.
I can't imagine how it must feel to show your #### on national TV and then lose.

within 100 feet of the hill.
Any opposing HC that would allow his team to show such classless and disrespectful behavior should be shown the exit to DV post haste.

I agree it is classless. When a team does something totally class less, it makes handing them their rear ends so much sweeter. UGA has done a lot of classless stuff in the Richt era. Storming the field in the Fla game when they scored the first touch down is pretty high on the list. Maybe the bunch of thugs learned to be classless in jail. Seems like most of the Dawgs have been in the clink a time or two.

gathering at the foot of the hill several years back is what eventually resulted in the ugly brawl.
That in itself should have convinced Clemson to see to it to disallow any future occurrence. That Georgia's players were allowed the same opportunity dumbfounded me.
