One Half a Billion Dollars in Bad Decisions

As if the amount of money ‘squandered’ by our elected officials, businesses, and etc. wasn’t mind boggling enough. And this $536M is JUST for NCAA FB, BB and WBB. How much more for the other collegiate sports? I guess we don’t even want to try to figure out how much is lost in professional sports (DW4 and OBJ being the two most recent with huge contracts and not playing…).

No wonder the libs hate sports. Just think of all the damage, errrr, GREAT AND WONDERFUL FIXES they could implement in the name of social, political and economic justice with all this ‘dead money’?!

Why would they need to boycott?

Nobody that loves sports would need to. Good point. Only those that don't would.

Yes, I probably should have used the term Social Justice Warriors, not liberals. Although they make up a huge subset of ‘liberals’, they are not all inclusive.
My apologies to all the sports loving (and non-boycotting) liberals I may have offended with my post.
Mea Culpa.

I honestly would not even call myself a liberal though it's all relative. Cancel culture, SJWs, and all those overly-virtuous liberals are just awful.
Conservatives have their nuts too though, the worst being the anti-vax crowd. In the last two weeks cost me two almost three old SC buddies who refused to get vaccinated.

I hate that you bring up and insult liberals in your post. It's irritating and all you do is divide out fan base!

Guess that's why that board exists and the football board is for football.

Does this include the $300K in dead money that FSU still hasn't repaid Clemson?

Great example of politicians/university administrators (same thing), there are good ones and many bad ones, spending other people's money.
That half billion pails in comparison to the trillions flushed down the drain on professors who do not teach and curriculums that do not prepare young men and women for productive careers.

Or the 100's of billions companies waste annually while their employees surf the internet, play games, or text, when they should be working. I have no prob with that, but very few people seem to take their job that seriously in the big picture. It's just a way to get paid so you can enjoy your real life. That's reality.
