On November 26, 2011 Clemson lost to South Carolina.

This was one week after losing 31-17 to unranked NC State. We would lose 4 of our last 6 that season, including the blowout by West Virginia. We have not lost back to back games (in season) since then. If I had told you after that West Virginia game that we wouldn’t lose back to back games for a decade you would have said I was crazy. If I told you we’d win two national titles and make 6 CFP appearances and be second only to Alabama in CFP victories you would also have said that was crazy. If you didn’t know that was gonna happen, why are you so sure you know how the rest of the story is gonna turn out? Tomorrow might end yet another incredible streak. But I’m fully prepared to give the guy who essentially pulled off the impossible the time to try and do it again.
