Just looking at another recruiting cycle: Is it fair???

Being honest.
Yes, there can be subtle changes.
NIL can have an impact now.
The transfer portal is certainly a player now.
But, if you look at the recruiting rankings I am afraid college football is in deep danger of not being competitive for the foreseeable future. That is not healthy and it threatens the very fabric of the game.

In what way is it not competitive?
NIL and transfer portal changes in the last few years were made because of CFB not being competitive, with Clemson and Alabama dominating every year and playing each other every year.
Now that changes are made, you can obviously see difference. Georgia has gone back to back, but it’s not the same teams every year. Michigan, TCU, USC. And Clemson and Alabama are now having to adjust a bit.

NIL and transfer portal changes were made because the NCAA knew the Supreme Court would strike down any restrictions on the players.
Simple as that. The NCAA decided raising the white flag was better than losing a battle they couldn't win. Neither change had anything to do with "competitive balance".

NIL will destroy the TCU's and smaller colleges who will no be able to compete for lack of money. Education will take a back seat and it's all about the money.

We get it man, you’re a UGA fan & you’re over the moon about where UGA is rn, however I don’t think it’s as non competitive as you think. I personally don’t understand taking time out of your day to go to other message boards, I would never take my time & go to other programs boards for no reason but that might just be me.

So your semi final game wasn’t “competitive”? You were a missed FG away from watching from home. Stop this nonsense and enjoy your run. In your 40 year gap between trophies, I never once went on your fan boards. Carry on kid.

SEC is getting exactly what it wanted. Buy up the competition and control the NIL $ and portal in order to dominate the talent and minimize the competition who don't have the resources to compete. Eventually, this just leads to the privatization of college football with control in the hands of a few.

Other than Texas A&M who else has tried to

buy a team? By the way, how has it helped Texas A&M?
And the portal? There were what, 2000 kids in the portal and something like 1500 of them are still looking for a home. So exactly how has the portal been taken over by the SEC?
Who are the teams who've built a juggernaut by either the portal, NIL, or both?
I'm not seeing that, really anywhere. The portal and NIL are big news I guess, but there aren't programs building elite teams by using either one of those avenues.

There is no doubt that Georgia is recruiting at a high level after winning back to back Nattys, They have got a lot of momentum just like we did from 2016 to 2019. We have lost some of our mo with losing coordinators and DJ setting us back for two years. Hoping we can get our mo back with new O coordinator and new QB. Time will tell.
