Xander Takes Gold!!!

Falling into a Tie for the lead after hitting it into the woods on the Par 5 14th Hole and making bogey . . . Xander promptly birdie the short Par 4 17th Hole . . . Only to hit it into the right wood line on 18 and “snookering” himself from approaching the green with his second shot . . . He smartly chipped out to 75-100 yards and hit his 3rd shot over the flag, gently sucking it back to within 3-4 feet of the Flag . . . a short smooth stroke later and we have our First American Gold Medalist in Golf!!!!!!!
Collin Morikawa birdied 18 to get to -15 and a 7-way tie for Third Place . . . I have no clue how they will determine the Bronze winner, but it’s time for this old man to take a nap before teeing it up himself @ noon.

I've had a nap so I'll pick it up, Skeeta. It's a 7-man sudden death playofffor bronze. Matsuyama and Casey are out after bogeying the first hole. Morikawa, Munoz, Pereira, CT Pan and McElroy advance.

Sabbatini took silver for Slovakia even though he's from South Africa. His wife and caddie is from Slovakia and he became a citizen 2 years ago.

Whew, couldn't hang anymore so I taped the rest and the wrap so was able to watch the playoff and the ceromonies. Proud for USA and for Xander. Special moment - Gold medal and Turk getting his first. Both living their dreams... And the last game of the regular season Dylan hits a 2 run dinger.
Life is good to be a Tiger.
