Closer to home, and I don’t know who those players are either.
This is getting ridiculous.
And I know it’s not a Brownell thing. College basketball is just starting to suck worse than ever.
Hopefully football isn’t ruined quite as much, but I’m afraid it’s headed that way.

Me either Row. One year. Ridiculous. I could see if a transfer had 3 yrs eligibility. I know people say it's college bball and everyone is taking transfers etc but then I look at Baylor's program. Yeah, he took transfers but those transfers were freshman and sophomore that he then developed... How do you develop someone for one year.
It's getting to be nothing more than playground pick up bball. I'll root for Clemson when they're playing any sport but definitely not a fan of college basketball. I'll go to the Y if I just want to watch hoops... Or go to my local high school.

Trading Kidd for this fine fellow seems going backwards
he actually has a lot better stats than Kidd. he world be good for one year for inside depth.

playing him more, rather than trusting the coaches to play guys according to their talent/skill/readiness.
I'm sure Brownell would've loved to play Kidd more, but based on the 37 minutes he played last year, it's safe to assume that Kidd wasn't ready to contribute.
Funny thing is, if Brad had played him more - likely sacrificing the team's performance in the process - in an attempt to develop him more, you would be the first to complain that Brownell isn't doing enough to win.

Amen to that. He is the perfect example of someone not highly talented, who got some minutes, developed into a really good role player.

You continue to be wrong when you guess and clearly your logic is off.
It is strange for someone who claims they are a basketball fan to say that developing a player would be “sacrificing the teams performance”. Where do you get that? Clearly made up.
According to your comment, nobody would ever get developed.
So either you are telling us that BB cannot develop tall players! Or he is a horrible judge of talent and the three true centers he recruited and are not worth developing. (without us having a legitimate center). So , which is it?
Yes, he should have played more than 37 minutes in a year. How much more? Depends. Giving Kidd a couple minutes a half? Having him play in either blowout wins or losses - would that have been sacrificing the teams performance?
Had BB done something with him, perhaps he would not have left like the last 2 as well. I don’t know. I do know, they left for a reason and they did not play.
As for your BS guess if what I would have complained about, - I would rather have younger players develop then renting transfers for a single season. That way, we could build something.
You criticize anything that is critical of BB - why? Nothing wrong with being critical of not developing people. From me it shows I care about the basketball program.

We have only had 1 7 footer on our team in the last 5 years and that was Trey jemison. Everybody that paid attention to basketball knew he was a project coming in.

This guy would be a good fit. All we need is a competent back up for hall for 1 year. We can make up for the loss of Kidd either by transfer next year, or in our next recruiting class.
I always thought it was kind of dumb for kids and hall (our 2 highest rated recruits) to essentially be in the same class. I understood the plan with kidd, but if hall was truly better, Kidd would most likely be a back up his entire career at Clemson.
