Do you want Clemson first round because TL bobbled a snap or through an INT? The defense went to the NFL and the new kids can't be very good because of it right?
Heck no, nobody wants us first game NOBODY.
Now, you are Clemson. Who do you not want in the first round? IT DOESN'T MATTER. Nobody strikes fear. We are as good or better than we were last year. We are getting better every week. Our backups have been taking snaps all year against 1st teams. We are healthy. We are weak at no position on the field, even our punting is better.

I don't want Alabama in Round 1, not because I fear losing to them, but because I want them in the Natty to break the 2-2 tie. Then I would just as soon never see them again.

I would think Dabo would want to start the playoffs in ATL, closer to home, less travel.

1 plays 4 in the location that is most convenient for 1 but that does not give the number 4 team a competitive advantage due to location. 2 plays 3 at the other location.

One of the contenders could prove us wrong! But, I have full confidence from what I have seen from LSU and Bama and Ohio State we can beat them!
In other words, "it doesn't matter who our first round opponent is"! It would actually be a good thing in my mind if it were Bama. Why HRT? Because, it would be a couple extra weeks to get ready and this time BV has a QB on offense that should be able to manufacture more 1st downs! If so, look for BV to cause confusion early/often!
Then whoever wins the other game will have to get ready for a team that has been disrespected and ranked lower than it should have after the UNC game! A group with a chip on it's shoulder with an agenda - who has been on the big stage!
In 2015 I thought that played a small part especially early when we played Bama. Them having been there and done that showed early! This time we would be the underdog and likely more hungry team. And I would think " would be on a failure is not an option mission" to get it done!
