I was thinking about the difference in coaching at a school like OU vs Clemson. The bigger the program the bigger the problems. More outside influence s pushing on the program. More employees to manage. Think about the media request at Clemson vs a school like Texas. If you're at Clemson and a guy gives you 50k a year you have to take his call, but if your at LSU or OU and a guy gives you 1 Mill per year you have to stop what you doing and meet him for lunch. These big big programs must feel like you're not even a coach anymore. Coaching and teaching young men has to be the most rewarding part of the job. Not being a CEO
Seems like a better fit would be a place like UNC. Same recruiting pipeline, about 5 Mill and year. Not all the BS of a school like Florida or Oklahoma. No one, other than Saban survives at these schools.
Whom ever takes the OU jobs will be eaten alive. Tough road transitioning into the SEC
Hope BV comes home.

After being at Clemson, I would hope BV has a greater respect for academics to even consider a place like UNCheat.

All he has to do is signal that hes staying. Like announce a new contract. It is recruiting season after all.
It is possible that he took the meeting out of respect for his friend, the AD at OU. Many on this board have taken meetings like that. Just to say in the you re happy in your current position.
We have not heard from him. His current players and recruits are waiting. So I'm just reading the tea leaves. Feels like hes thinking about it.

I'm surprised Kevin Wilson's name isn't floated around more to replace Mack Brown. He is a UNC Alum, native North Carolinian, has head coaching experience, Broyles award winner, and established as a great recruiter.
