Ok, got question. D. Kendrick

Feb 28, 2020, 10:21 PM

Is he in his best position for his future? I tend to think yes because I love our coaching staff. But would he be better as a slot receiver/returner/backfield guy or is he better suited as a CB? Is he there because of need and because we have Rodgers?

DK is a stud athlete, I'm not a coach, and height have future at CB but does he have more opportunities at offense vs defense?

Just curious about thoughts? I think Dabo should highlight him in both roles this year just in case he decided to go pro. If he thinks he needs another year then coaching truly needs to let the guy play multiple positions to help his future. I'm not saying that we are hurting his future but a guy so athletic needs his skills on display to benefit his future.

Just wondering what others think?

Dabo says he is looking great at CB so I don't see him playing WR .

I think he played QB in HS, and was pretty darn good at that position too. Not NFL good, but was very good in HS. I like DK, and I think he does better on O, but these coaches have forgotten more than I'll ever know about coaching, so I go with their recommendations.

Pretty sure he was playing WR in his JR year in HS then their SR QB graduated and the replacement DKs SR yr got injured or dinged up so they put the best athlete at QB, hence DK playing QB. Pretty sure he was WR first and played a little DB but mostly OFF. He was never fulltime CB if my memory serves me?

That is why I wonder if he should move back to Off or is this his best bet for NFL? I think he is NFL talent all day long. Very talented kid

DK's progression at CB last year was pretty amazing. I have no doubt he's found his position.

He's gonna be one of the best cover corners in the country this year.

He is in a position that fits him perfect. He is a stud.

Good DBs are more rare and more valuable that wide recievers.

The only way to answer that is to look at the entire situation. In order for him to make it to the NFL, he has to have significant in game experience. If you switch him to O, which one of our stud receivers do you lessen their involvement? Do you gain anything as a team doing so? The reality is if you are going to move him to O, you also need him to change teams. He’s a budding CB superstar that is extremely aggressive (almost too aggressive based on penalties) at the point of attack which the NFL loves.
