They might unjustifiably hype up SEC teams over teams from other conferences in order to recoup their now even larger “investment” in the SEC.
That would be bad for college football.

It will become official ESPN completely owns college football.
I have a hard time believing CBS would give this up under any circumstances though it's clear CFB is more important to the survival of ESPN than it is CBS.
Really hard to imagine this.

LOL! Very true.
Seriously though, this would be like ESPN (Disney) grabbing and pulling the pinky finger clean off of CBS. A 25-year partnership going in the dumpster.
The ACC, Big 12 and especially the Pac 12 better figure it out or the SEC and B1G won't just be out of reach revenue-wise, they will be out of sight.

How much are we getting in our deal annually? SEC schools get about 44 mil a year & that will go up to 65 mil. Don’t be surprised if ESPN drops ACC. They’ll get the ABC Saturday night prime time spot too. I mean....Vandy is just stealing money from the SEC. Ha!
