moons ago and maybe that helped him make his decision to leave for Calif.

Makes sense now But at the time it was puzzling as to why he'd leave great situation with Sooners and maybe the best returning young QB in nation.

And, how did the BIG, UCLA & USC keep this deal from being known b/4 now?

Of course he did. These things take months to arrange. It seemed strange at the time and now makes perfect sense.

The presidents of USC and UCLA didn't just sit around last week smoking Mary and saying "Duuuude.....you know what would be wild? Let's call the Big Ten and see if we can join there party!". "Far out man!"

No. This has been in the works probably since last summer. And pretty sure Coach Riley knew this was going to happen when he bolted. Only thing I don't know is how they kept a lid on it for so long.
