I didn't realize it was leaking that bad until the storms the past few nights.
It's really bad.
And Galvalume is $44 per sheet.

It fixed the leaky trunk on my Dad's old Honda Civic.
May 7, 2021, 8:46 AM
|
|
Mom wanted to keep the car after Dad passed, it's a 2000 model and still has less than 40k on it. Sis uses it the most and she noticed the trunk had a leak and took it to get fixed. Went back and forth to the shop 3 or 4 times until the guy working on it used Flex Seal on it because they could never pinpoint the leak no matter what they did. Hasn't leaked since, and it's been a year now.

in the trunk. Since she's a woman, she either didn't care or thought it would get better on its own, or both.
It leaked so long and so bad that it attracted ants, and the rear of her car became infested with little black ants, and they had built a huge mound in the rear quarter panel.

(indoor plumbing requires roof vents to prevent the build up of sewer gas unlike your outhouse) and it worked like a charm.

I happened upon a clearance sale on it
May 7, 2021, 9:06 AM
|
|
at WallyMart a few months ago. Liquidating the stuff at $2.50 a tube/roll/can, so the Tim "the Toolman" Taylor gene kicked in and I bought a few since it's normally $10-15.
The wide tape is pretty good stuff. Had a leaky pipe I wrapped with it and it's worked like a charm. I'd say it's worthwhile, maybe not $15 worthwhile, but on sale, I'd buy again.
The "Flex Shot" caulk is meh, IMO. Stinks to high heaven before it cures. I re-caulked the bottom of my toilet with it after I changed wax rings. Worked OK, I noticed nothing really superior to a regular tube of silicone caulk. Functions like a can of Cheez-Whiz. I plugged a drip leak on my workshop tin roof with it, and again, regular caulk would do the same.
Have a can of the FlexSeal spray too that I got in same clearance deal. Haven't ever found an application to use it.
Never used the "paint can" version they make the screen door boat out of.

Lets make a bet that when I move out of here, you sell your house and see who has more "equity".

Did you ask Granny first? Those holes might mean something to her and patching them might take away the patina of the old shed. Her and Grandpa might have used to #### each other in the rain under there to be all romantic.
Due diligence is needed in this situation.
