and it was no problem, at least not for someone like me. If you are 45 or older, I encourage you to get one as well.

Man you have lost your mind. The poop cocktail they make you drink kept me up all night, i was dehydrated for like a day after mine

The actual procedure is fine. You are knocked out and dont care about anything in the world.

The process leading up to getting knocked out is awful.

BUT he is right. Make sure you get a colonoscopy completed. Im 40 and have already had one.

I took the Colonoscopy pill and it was no contest vs the liquid crap. I also have a buddy who took the Scot/Pillcam which was quite a bit cheaper than a regular colonos. Check with you MD )and your insurance carrier) to see it either the pill or camera are options and the cost differential.

I'm glad you felt the same.

On a serious note, recently diagnosed a colon cancer in a 29 yo F, blew my mind. It really can save a life or two here or there and as a PSA, I highly recommend. Supposedly research is showing that higher number of people getting it younger which is why the change from 50 to 45 was made. Good for you for taking care of yourself and recommending to others.

BS, the life expectancy for a 77year old male is ten years. You need one at least every five years and more frequently if you had plops in earlier tests. My Doctor waited until I was 90 before telling me that.
Now that I ‘m approaching 94 she is suggesting that maybe I should schedule another because I have had polyps all along.
