If this were done he would be at Oklahoma meeting his new team......

Yeah I just don’t get the timing of everything unless they wanted Fickle and were waiting to see if Cindy made the playoffs amd once they did then they didn’t want to wait around for Fickle to finish the season…or they wanted Lanning and he finally said no…they could have done this anytime last week …who knows but them flying to Veneables and waiting this long just seems off to me

Agree that something is going on less straightforward than simply them coming to finalize the contract. Also agree it’s likely BV was not their first choice. This feels like OU’s plan C or D based on what happened with yesterday’s games.

That is true. This is just weird. He has moved pretty much his whole family to Clemson. He recruits hard for Clemson all week with Dabo! He more or less tells recruits he is not leaving! He has the OU execs at his house to sign a contract. That is odd in and of itself.

It's not odd at all. He's doing his job. He's not leaving unless he gets some ridiculous offer which I'm sure Oklahoma is going to give him. Going from a 2.5 million per year contract to 8 per year with 40 million guaranteed is a huge difference.... people on here cant accept you can still love clemson and take that offer for you and your family. This place is full of idiots.

Well maybe he is here to see Jake as an intern asst coach and just stopping by while out on the recruiting trail. It has been reported that Jake had some things lined up.
Nothing has been announced after numerous reports of dates and times. Which, by the way, sunk like the Titanic. Soooooooo.

The OU AD has always flown out to bring the new coach back. Im not saying it is a done deal but this is how they do things.

I don’t think LSU or USCs ADs flew to South Bend or Norman. Personal interviews rarely happen in big time athletics.

They dont fly out for the interview. They fly out to finalize details and fly back together. Its the way the AD operates.
