I understand the misgivings about playing in the NIT.

Somehow it does feel like a contest to see who the tallest midget is. I know! Not politically correct, but I'm an old fart. Nevertheless, the NIT does get more playing time, just like bowls do in football, for the younger players and that will pay dividends next year.

In 2014 it was a sign of improvement. This year it's just a let down. Means more when you don't have three senior starters

to play more. Just because you have seniors does not mean you have to give them all the minutes.

Will Brownell play those younger players or play the seniors? Doesn't playing the seniors defeat the purpose of the NIT?

I guess a couple guys will get some more practice that is needed for them. Next years team,if we go to the NIT, will be loaded with young guys needing experience. Either way, I agree that it doesn't hurt. It is more practice.

but the NIT will be a good opportunity. Gives us more practice to help build for next year and allows the Seniors at least 1 more (hopefully more) chance to play in Littlejohn. Plus, we're not really in the position to turn down the NIT. Of a blue blood like Kentucky or Duke had an off year it would make sense if they chose not to play, but our program isn't at the level where we're "above" playing in the NIT. Just take the opportunities your given

You really think an NIT berth next year will save Brownell? I don't think so.
