Observations from the game

The stadium is flat. Weather and plying furman probably doesn’t help. Feels like the defense is feeding off that energy and playing flat. Furman has a good game plan attacking our secondary throwing, and running to the outside making them tackle. So far the secondary looks like they struggle tackling. Not getting stops is eating the clock up. Venables is the only one I haven’t seen miss a tackle yet. DJ is playing great. Making good decisions. Furman is stacking the box to stop the run. They want DJ to beat them and so far he has. Oline needs to get mean and nasty.

Great synopsis. Venerable did miss a tackle on a completion, but get your point. All teams will focus on stopping the run against Clemson due to D. J. being the QB. That’s going to be the game plan every opponent. Furman s secondary just isn’t good enough to capitalize.

BTW, Clemson has to quit playing the Furmans. Tiickets cost too much to justify playing a exhibition game. At least schedule a ECU or military school that will draw interest

I’m here so it’s hard to catch everything. He may have missed one but he looks willing to come up and tackle. One play was a dump out the backfield and Wiggins was in position to come up and make a tackle and he back peddled to almost got out the way to allow a blocker to get to him. And I don’t like playing them either but I think it is a state law to play a smaller school from the state every year. Just got burnt by our 3rd screen.
