Obama should jump in and realign these conferences

by geography. AS best possible. Then go to a true playoff.. with conference winners only.
Why should Miami's volleyball team have to fly to Boston? WVU's basketball team fly to Austin,TX or Florida's soccer team fly to Missouri?

NCAA has nothing to do with it. NCAA isn't driving it.
Besides, saying this is ruining football is a prediction and opinion at best. It's too early to tell.
If you want to ruin football or any sports getting govt involved is exactly the thing to do. The federal govt hasn't ran anything successfully in its entire existence.

this simply isn't in its purview.
This is a power argument in my mind not a competency argument. Although I certainly agree they are incompetent.......

Obama doesn't have the power to do it. He's not a king. College athletic depts are state run and the NCAA and conferences are private organizations. Govt has zero jurisdiction as it should be.

So do people but govt has no authority to come in and organize thier house. People like you who advocate big govt and govt control at why this country is in the shape it is in.

the authority to reorganize college athletics. Isn't there freedom of association issues here, among other things like the states having more control in this case then the feds over state funded institutions, and then you have private schools involved as well and existing conferences and the NCAA itself. If the feds tried to jump in here it would get really ugly because every organization i just mentioned would be in court fighting it.
