O-LINE...

Oct 14, 2015, 2:53 PM

Has everyone gotten over their fear of our offensive line being an issue this year?

They've handled Louisville, Notre Dame and Georgia Tech with very few issues in the backfield. If we get past Boston College performing as well, I don't think we have anything to worry about the rest of the year.

pass protection and blitz pickups. The kind of stuff you would expect from a young, but very talented, OL.

We seem to continue to have some snapping issues with the center (in a few games) and, of course, we still can't go under center in short yardage situations down at the goal line going in (uuuggghhh!). I had flashbacks to Florida State last year when we did that against Georgia Tech early in the game. I can't tell if the snapping issues are related to one person or if it has happened with both of them, because we've had both playing quite a few snaps this year.

Overall, I think that the O Line has been a pleasant surprise for me this year. Now, if they can keep that up and keep letting Wayne get his yards, I think that we will be in good shape down the stretch.

All have had issues, Guillermo is the better of the options. Guillermo had 1 in the Louisville game, Norton had a couple this year so far, and Falcinelli had one last game. I think Guillermo's were more nerves than anything, first time back since his time off. Norton has had this issue a lot...but has improved greatly since FSU last year.

pick ups last week and was impressed. He needed to improve in that area and I think he did.

I think the O line has played better than expected but I also think number 4 helps then look better than they are.

The Eagles will be a bigger test than some think. I will be very surprised if Watson can stay in the pocket and wait for a receiver to get open. Lots of screens in this game ... I think.

Watson will continue the cat an mouse game with quick hits in the flats and the run game. I think we will have to hit big plays to get into the end zone, they are a good defense. In the end , the crowd will be too much for them. 24-10 type of game.

That is a good point.**

Once we get through FSU I will feel great until hopefully the playoff. I love the improvement I have seen so far. The OL gets better every week. I was one that was worried about the OL. What is the weak link of our team anyway? I can't think of really much off of my head. I would say those balls that Mike Williams would come down with is the only thing. We might have that worked out soon as well.

This will be a game. Where Clemson has to take what the defense gives them. May not be able to run much on Bc defense. Got to throw quick screens. And hope Watson doesn't get sacked to much. Overall Clemson is better and will win the game

Passing will set up the run this week IMO.***

I have to admit the o-line was a concern before the year started. I've seen an improvement in each game. BC has seen speed in FSU and held them to seven offensive points, hopefully we will do better.

Clemson 20, BC 6
