Now that ND has an ACC loss

Oct 19, 2014, 11:45 AM

What are the chances they bump us out of our Orange Bowl bid, assuming we win out?

Hoping they can take another loss somewhere in the season and we can finish 2nd in the Atlantic ahead of these guys.

ND won't bump an ACC team out of the OB

Oct 19, 2014, 11:47 AM

They do have the chance to be the opponent though.

Wrong

Since ND is an ACC team and also technically not an ACC team, they are position to be an at-large berth as well as the ACC representative.

Unless things change, looking like a Notre Dame vs. Notre Dame matchup in the Orange Bowl. Should be a good one fellas.

ND is independent.

They cam't represent a conference they don't belong to.

It's borked.

I mean did the ND vs ND not give it away?

Cool, sounds like something out of the NCAA video game

It's like a spring game bowl

You sir are wrong or misinformed

The orange bowl contract is with the ACC vs either and SEC, Big Ten, OR Notre Dame. Notre Dame is eligible for any ACC bowl tie ins outside of BCS bowls (i.e. Orange, Sugar, Fiesta, Rose). If Clemson, FSU and ND win out then it's likely that Clemson will play either ND, OHIO St, or the loser of the Egg Bowl (if both Miss schools continue to win). How much fun would it be for Clemson to play Ole Miss in the orange Bowl?

Wait, what?! I had no idea******

ESPN last week predicted Clemson vs Notre Dame in Orange Bow

Oct 19, 2014, 11:55 AM

and after last night it is looking like that is more and more close to reality. If FSU stays in playoff, I think you have Clemson in the Orange Bowl. There opponent would most likely be Notre Dame in my opinion.
