Now that ESPN has made FAMOUS JAMEIS their new sock puppet

Oct 18, 2013, 9:19 AM

What are they going to do with all their JOHNNY FOOTBALL material? I wholeheartedly agree that Manziel is an A$$wipe, but he has shown he can back it up. What has Winston done that even puts him in the same conversation as guys like Boyd, Mariota, Bridgewater, McCarron & Manziel? FSU opponents are 19-10 and Maryland is only team to be ranked at #25.

Beasley, Crawford & Jarret are going to stink like Famous Jameis after the game they're going to be on him so much that they may need to buy him a TOMBSTONE!

Like the Johnny Football hype that died down quite a bit

Oct 18, 2013, 9:23 AM

after losing to Alabama, Winston will return to a footnote in the Sportscenter hightlights after Saturday night while I'm guessing Tajh will get a few backslaps and then the revived Johnny Football hype and Mariotta love will be in full swing. I said the other day and still believe for Tajh and all that Heisman stuff, it comes down to an undefeated season and him showing out against the Coots.

This has been my biggest thing leading up to this game...

Why is he so good? What has he done? Sure, his numbers are impressive and he does have skill, but you could throw any QB from high school (OK, maybe not Tony Romo) to Tom Brady and in between out on the field in the games they have played and they will do well. There hasn't been a decent pass-rush or decent defense that has pressured him or his WRs outside of BC (and even that isn't as impressive as it could be).

I have a feeling this whole thing will be just like Clowney at the beginning of this season and Logan Thomas last season: all hype but when the cards are laid down and the pressure mounts, he'll show cracks and crumble. Beasley, Shuey and company will be telling him, "I'll be right back, might as well stay down."

The apex of the hype was that video yesterday of McShay.

and Kiper, lol. McShay and his,"From what I'm seeing, this is a number one pick in two years." while Tajh was reduced to a short QB that may have trouble in the NFL, a project for some team who needs a QB in a few years.

Exactly. Shoot, everyone is a first-round draft pick before they actually play the game and everyone is a national-title contender until the first game is played.

I'll take Tajh's experience and skills over a relatively unproven any day of the week.

What are they supposed to do?

Somehow two ACC teams displaced two SEC teams in the top ten. Their world is so effed up because two top ten games this season are being played in an ACC venue. It's so bad they have to bring Gameday to Clemson twice.

They've hyped Marieland enough to get them in the top 25 at least for one week and now they face the big boss (ABC) with an odd situation, Clemson a team they know can punk anybody in the country hosting an FSU team that had played nobody.

"I know, that FSU kid is tall, let's hype him as the second coming of Logan Thomas. That'll make folks turn on their TVs."

That pretty much nails it

Oct 18, 2013, 9:46 AM

just look as far as motivation...money and the desire to be the exalted prophet of the football gods...and then back to money and hype again.
