Stay in Chicago. Take a bus or train over to the game.

give me some insight on the train to south bend, i was checking amtraks schedule and didnt see where they have many times they depart from chicago to south bend
what train station did you use or recommend

When we were going 2 years ago I was advised my multiple people to stay in Chicago. That year the Holiday Inn Express in South Bend was $300 a night.
I don't have a particular train schedule. I think they run extras for Notre Dame games. I was also told to be wary of a night game since the last train back to Chicago leaves at 10pm local time.

Why are we playing ND in SB two times in a row? Shouldn't this game be played in Death Valley? Did Swoffie do this as a last shot at Clemson before he left last year?

Due to a weird quirk in the schedule, the 2022 and 2023 home/away pairing is reversed. They will come to Death Valley 2x in a row in 23 and 27. Clemson prefers to sync the ND game opposite of where SC is being played.

What Snowtiger said... there isn't much in south bend, Chicago is better all around. Do take in all of the Campus and ND pageantry.
