Notre Dame announces Brian VanGorder has been fired as defensive coordinator. Defensive analysts Greg Hudson will assume DC responsibilities. Notre Dame had given up 35+ points in 5 of its last 6 games, dating to last year.

I think ND underestimated Cutcliffe and his Dukies! Whats it going to take for some of these schools and their fans to realize that the Dukies play FB too, and playing them is not a cake walk anymore. I think some the Irish players and fans, found out early on that this Duke team came ready to play!
