coz you keep pining away for all my "cop shooting vids" and its been a while. lol
actually this is for EVERYBODY. This video illustrates 1 of the problems we have with policing today and 1 reason for reform. I hope you watch the video, but for those that would rather a summary
- Cops called for an intoxicated guy with a child...very limited description otherwise
- 2 cops (Francis & Mayberry) stop a guy in Walmart w/a dumb donald face mask and a child.
- cops ask him for his ID, and he refuses.
- enter 3rd cop (Webber), whom threatens arrest and have his child taken away (CPS)if he does not ID.
- officers go hands on and handcuff after a brief struggle. Guy cusses at the cops and they lift his arms and hold his head/throat against a cooler
- Sgt Holt arrives, and hears this crazy #### and says "let him go"
- man doesn't want to hear the copsplaining and gets his child...and likely ran to find an attorney
this is a rare opportunity in which we have not only video, BUT we get to hear all the lies in the IA interview.
- Mayberry said "we got a call and the description is you." LIES! As you can see and here they dont have much of a description outside of "curly brown hair, and a child"
- Officers said you have to ID. LIES! as you can gather from the video and you know the Constitution/Fed/State laws
- Webber and Francis said they jacked his arms up coz he was trying to get away. LIES!! they jacked his arms up coz he cussed them, and to teach him a lesson. Egos got the best of them

Francis - This Fat F#ck...what to do with this guy, that got several procedures wrong even after studying them. AAAAANNNNNNDDDDDD, he was investigated/suspended for the exact same ID law false arrest before. Not to mention the pain compliance BS. Fire this guy immediately. He is a liability

its takes no time at all really.
you can think whatever you want about the guy. He is an American citizen and has the same rights afforded to any of us...they dont change coz you are anyone else don't like them. We should have cops that know the law and don't let their egos get in the way in enforcing them correctly. And those facts Im well aware of what would happen with some egomaniacs with a badge, but I would ask why you are so accepting of a world where you fear police or what could happen if you don't lick their boots to their liking

1st off, it was not a technical mistake! It was 3 OFFICERS, misusing the law to arrest and assault someone. The guy did absolutely nothing wrong. The police DO NOT have the power to just ID people, search and arrest. That is a corner stone of our freedom. Its really sad that you don't understand that. He didn't provoke anyone, even the cop called him an a'hole, before he did the same in return...so who provoked who?
2nd no mention of the excessive force, and the lies during the interview. its 1 thing to make a mistake, its another to lie about it
its totally fine if you see cops as mostly good. I think cops are mostly good too, except when they decide to not be. and when they do, they need to be held accountable
in the meantime, who do you think is gonna be on the hook for the lawsuit for this guy??? the good people of San Angelo, Tx. wouldn't be a better idea to train, and retrain officers to be better than to coast tax payers. Perhaps cops should carry their own insurance. That would stop this stuff real fast

and thats fine if you don't give a sh!t about your rights I don't give a #### about your rights either. For everyone else its good to know your rights and expect the police to know the law that they are charged with enforcing.
of course theres tons of arrest, and many are by the book. There are also lots of questionable ones, and more and more are getting captured on video everyday
An easy way to handle this same situation: during conversation, confirm or eliminate that the guy was intoxicated. There were no indicators of intox, and all 3 cops admitted that. Also have the complaining party say yay or nay if they are around. The you will obey me crap, under threat of (unlawful) arrest is ridiculous

the proper form is to calculate points per post.
Analysis and focus on t-net points is very important. I've found that the people who follow them and care about them are generally the most valued members of our forum!

The fact is no nobody cares what Tony posts. The guy’s been on here the whole time I have and still hasn’t broken 900 points. Honestly iou aren’t much better. You’ve been on here all these years, as an active paying member for many, and only at 22k? I only became active about a year and half ago and went up almost 9k in that time. I DO give a #### about T3's rights. And that guy in the video. And any other mouthy punk. I give a #### about the rights of an actual criminal. Even a violent one. Because when we stop caring about the Constitutional rights of others, even people we don't like, that's when the system falls apart.
I want that murderer to face the full force of justice for his crimes. But I want it done the right way. And I'd rather he go free and a hundred like him than one innocent person be abused by the system.
The problem is too many Americans weigh it the other way. They're okay with a hundred innocent people being harmed just to nab that one real criminal.
That's not what our founding fathers intended.

I meant that insomuchas, if T3 or anyone else has every right not to exercise their rights. If he wants to just do whatever a cop asks him and see no issue with it, that’s fine. Those rights are his non the less. Remember in a free society we are all innocent til proven guilty not the other way around
I totally agree with everything you posted. No matter the crime the person should be arrested if need be and face justice for the crime. To many times saying anything that the cop don’t like leads to “more” ... saying can I just have my ticket and be on my way” leads to can you get out of the car, and unlawful searches and on and on. What that should lead to is getting your ticket and being on your way.
For anyone who has ever said” do t get lipppy, or you deserve blah blah” or anything like that you are proving my point. There is such thing as freedom of speech, and this time it actually applies, unlike boycotting a fried chicken sammich place or not shopping at some hobby store or whatever. You have the right to say whatever you like ( with VERY few exceptions) and move freely with your papers.
Taking the egos and the lesson teaching out of policing would go a long way ... it Derek Chauvin had put GF in the car and hauled him off to jail there would be nothing at all for anyone to talk about, but nooooooo
Remember in a free society we are all innocent til proven guilty not the other way around

The disparity in your example is pathetic. Straight guy shopping at a WalMart with his 3-yr.old versus some unknown gunman out shooting at LEOs. WHERE does that equate?

Yea, cameras changed the playing field. I certainly think it's NOT "all cops", but when it happens it DOES need 'pointing out'.

Is really dumb and dangerous. The attitude of "you should just comply no matter what so good luck if you don't" is about as contradictory to the American spirit as possible.
Tony gave examples of bad cops lying and abusing authority. The more the populous doesn't take a stand against cops like this, the worse they become.
I'm not giving a cop the right to search my car without probably cause. I will be polite because that's who I am, but if he's rude to me and tries to abuse his authority, I'm not bending over and taking it.
The mentality that we should all just give in because it's not worth the headache is what bad cops are hoping we will do.
