ESecPN Played Auburn Fight Song

Sep 10, 2017, 7:09 PM

As Clemson ran down hill to open replay broadcast of last night's game. That is really beyond ridiculous even for that bunch

Auburn has a Fight Song.
Could have fooled me.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yes. It's played in key "pillow"

Sep 10, 2017, 9:05 PM

The audio is set up next to the west end zone. It's sort of hard to get around that.

yeah it was the Auburn band. At least their team did come out to see us come down the Hill. Lots of teams hide in the dressing room. Which I've never understood. If as a player you're intimidated by that you dont need to be competing

The were to freaked out to even take the field when we were running down the hill.

Wasn't a problem for 2013 Georgia, 2015 Notre Dame or 2016 Louisville games. All you could hear for those was Tiger Rag. I think the audio guy for ESPN just messed up.

So you're suggesting there's only one mic in Death Valey and it's where the visitors fans &
band sit?

What I meant was it appeared the camera they were using in the shot was coming from the west end of the stadium. They probably weren't planning on Auburn entering and their band playing whenever they planned the shot.

Auburn must have played their own when we ran down the hill! I thought I was hearing things. Don't they audio from the bands?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

No their band is louder and mic was closer.

Sep 10, 2017, 7:36 PM

Our band was playing and then theirs played over us

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Why does the stadium staff allow them to put the mic's

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not true, ESPN places mics in multiple stadium locations

They played the wrong feed when Clemson ran down the hill.

Live in real time yesterday in Death Valley all I could hear from my seat (UG row M) was Tiger Band and "Tiger Rag"!!

You're suggesting the SEC homer network "accidentally" played the Auburn fight song over Tiger Rag as the Clemson (not SEC) team entered their home stadium in one of the (if not THE) most exciting entrances in college football.

Ok...

I know hating on ESPN is the cool thing to do, but let's cut them a little slack here. This is the same network that how now on multiple occations gone through the trouble of setting up cameras all around our stadium, and on our buses in order to get our entire entrance from start to finish on tv. The first time they did this was against Georgia also. If they really hated us and wanted to screw us so badly then why go through that much trouble to make us look good those other times?

Sep 10, 2017, 10:30 PM

Because it makes them a butt load of money. I can guarantee you their innocent gaffe entertained a lot of Auburn fans at our expense.

I could be wrong about ESPN's pro-SEC bias I suppose...but then...nah

Sep 10, 2017, 10:38 PM

How exactly does that make them any money? If anything, setting up our entrance the way they did for the Georgia game probably cost them a ton of money to do.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

^^^ but this doesn't fit the narrative! Everyone hates

us. Especially espn. Because their in the business of hating on the nation's high profile teams. Props to you 03 for getting it.
