That was also a top notch baseball player that let the opportunity for money in the minor leagues distract him from living up to his potential in football.

it's the unforseen personal/head issues that have only doomed 2 of them (crosby, who set freshman records at clemson.................and bellamy who was an IMMEDIATE impact as a freshman)

I swear i don't understand the downplay of 5 star prospects. Does it make any sense to anyone else? All 5 star means is that they are projected to play early and are percieved to need less development than the 4's and 3's from a scouting standpoint. You can usually watch a kid like reggie bush in high school and see that he was more potential than svelle newton. So why would you shy away from recruiting the kids with higher potential. Its one thing if you know you can't get them. I know there are kids who are under the radar guys who exceed expectations but they are few are far between. Give me 10 5 stars over 10 2 star kids any day. You take your team or 2 stars and let me have a team of 5 stars and we'll see if it makes a difference then.
