Poll question please: do you follow the NBA?

Just curious. There is so much coverage on ESPN and FOX websites. I wonder if TNET'ers are fans.

Yes, the NBA is fun to watch and has a lot of high quality young players to watch..

Now the current state of the game has very few quality post players (due to the negative influence of AAU ball), but it's entertaining and teams play team ball and has vastly improved since the putrid early 2000's. Only downside is the AAU cry babies reactions to comments by old school players. If you don't like the NBA you don't like basketball. And the college product, as witnessed over this decade, is nothing but foul fests with terrible FG shooting.

If the players actually put in effort the first 3 quarters then it might be worth watching. The NBA season is too long for the players to put themselves in harms wall for 4 quarters every night. Look at the Cavs this season lose 1/3 of your games in the season, but you better believe they will put in effort in the playoffs.

and they moved back to team ball and away from the ISO plays of the early 2000's. If you can't appreciate players like Steph Curry, Chris Paul, Lebron James, Jimmy Butler, Isiah Thomas, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, John Wall, then you just aren't into the sport of basketball

So many great players, big personalities, and quality teams. I fear it won't ever be the same, but I can still enjoy today's game.

Really enjoyed the 80's & 90's. There were great players and rivalries. Unfortunately, the game has been ruined like other pro sports. At this point, I only really get interested during the playoffs and if my spurs are still competing. They are the only pro team that I pull for because of the unselfish team ball that they play. The coach and players are humble as they come and respect the game. Very similar in my mind to our men, they deserve every bit of success that they encounter.

the game is much better. The allowing zone D removed 8 guys on the court watching 1 on 1 bball of early 2000s. Great passing, good shooters.. the playoffs are pretty good, though too long.
I used to be an avid college bball fan.. blame Brownell, or poor D, or loss of fundamentals that used to be found in college, but anymore I don't see one as much better than another.

Back in the 80's and maybe even early 90's, I really enjoyed the NBA, specifically the Lakers and the Lakers-Celtics rivalry. Loved watching Abdul-Jabbar and Magic in action. But something changed in the league and I lost all interest, and never got it back.

Wow - they still play?? I haven't watched in years. I couldn't name 3 players in the NBA. Maybe James 'cause I see him in ESPN commercials, and that guy that's the brother of a State Farm agent, but that's it for me.

The NBA is laughable. They don'y follow the rules of the game. Constantly walk, double dribble, palming, etc.

It's actually a lot of fun to watch. And I never thought I'd say this but I enjoy it more than the college game because the refs don't have nearly as big of an impact on the game.

Any sport that plays that many games a season, then allows MORE than HALF the teams in a playoff, just so they can grab more money from fans, is a joke.
