The Big 12 foolishly rushed to bring in those Group of Five schools. Had they known about UCLA and USC the 8 remaining Big 12 schools could have just merged with the remnants of the PAC. Would have made for a better looking conference and not a mixed bag with the likes of a large state school like Kansas and a directional school in Florida.

Big 12, SEC and B1G are not finished....

.... in terms of expansion. UCLA and USC to B1G. TX and OU to SEC.

As they say on TV commercials, "But wait! There's more!"

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

They're both messy and they stink

Does anyone know what the partnership ever did? Nothing that I can think of.

Partnership in name only. About like the pact the commissioners came up with to try to deter the SEC from trying to expand the playoff. How did that work out?

That's it -- just keep screwing the sport up. Even more.***

So when did the name change from Alliance to "Loose Partnership"? Right after the Big 10 took USC and UCLA behind their alliance partner's back! What a joke that alliance was and the ACC and PAC commish's should be shown the door for aligning with the Big 10.

Awesome! Let the Big 12

Destroy what’s left of the PAC 12 and force Oregon and Washington aggressively seek to join the Big 10. Which will force the SEC to need more schools which is where Clemson and Florida St come in to play!!

Come on!

This is very old news…

The only reason it’s being rehashed now is because OU and UT have announced they are leaving early. The B12 commissioner has long made it very clear they plan on raiding the P12.

I assume Oregon and UW will leave for the B1G. Maybe Cal and Stanford too. Then ASU, UA, Colorado and Utah will join the B12. Wazzu and Oregon State will join the Mountain West and the P12 will cease to exist.

Maybe not in that exact order, but those will be the final results. (Norte Dame joining the B1G could put a wrench in some of that).

IMO, the ACC will stick together many more years.
