I'd choose BIG over SEC because...

Jul 1, 2022, 5:16 PM

We could still hate on SEC and finally be in a league that shares our dislike for them and wants to beat them every chance we get.

We'd still play SC every year.

Notre Dame and FSU would probably be coming too...along with someone like Pitt or BC to appease PSU or NotreDame.

I'd enjoy playing Michigan, OSU, PSU, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, USC, UCLA, as well as the top 8 in the sec.

I'd take the SEC

Better Southern rivalries, close road trips, and passion. JMO

I AGREE

This era is transformatory.
Survival in the NIL era is about TV / digital rights and salaries. Though Clemson and its fans may hate the SEC, they may have to go with them.

Long-term Power 5 may become Power 3.

I'd do the exact opposite. Long travel, and a couple almost

guaranteed "snow" games a year do not interest me at all. The BIG would probably be easier competition wise, but the SEC would be a WHOLE lot better schedule wise, from a distance and weather standpoint.

And, I suspect that whatever dollars the BIG gets in this new TV contract will be the lowball starting point for the SEC in their negotiations a year from now.

Good gracious. 1 million times rather travel to Ole Miss and the Grove than Rutgers or Maryland. No contest.

Not entirely sure UofSC, UGA, Aub or Alabama AD would vote to let us in

Jul 1, 2022, 5:36 PM

It’ll be B1G or bust for Clemson

How many votes are needed to get in?

2024 white level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not sure. I’d be surprised if it was as low as 50%

Jul 1, 2022, 9:28 PM

Probably need at least 12 votes

I think it's 75%***

I'd rather be in the BIG Ten than the ACC

Jul 1, 2022, 7:00 PM

but rather be in the SEC than either of them. I hate the SEC too. But. All our big rivals are in there. UofSC will become a conference gsne, as it should. We would play Georgia every year like we used to. Auburn and Tennessee would make good rivals.....heck we are already rivals with Bama. And South Carolina being a conference game frees up an out of conference game for us to play a couple of Big Ten or PAC 10 teams.

And be in a league willing to shut down football for

Jul 1, 2022, 7:19 PM

political reasons. No sir, I'm going SEC. Trevor Lawrence and the SEC saved football.

The SEC saved themselves. Weren’t concerned with anyone else. But what they did was still better than what the BiG did.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

FALSE. Just join the SEC like we should’ve done 5+ years ago

Jul 1, 2022, 9:31 PM

and get it over with already. The Big 10??? Are you crappin’ me!??

SEC

Jul 1, 2022, 9:37 PM

Our best Recruiting lanes are in the South

Jul 2, 2022, 7:59 AM

We need to stay in the South even if it means the SEC...Road games are also recruiting trips
