Norte Dame and Klubnik

So yes Dj starting that much is set in stone. But does Klubnik play a series or two? Or will Dj play the entire game? Me personally I would like to see Klubnik get a series or two. Because they’re still a long way to go and if Dj got hurt. You want Klubnik to be ready.

I promise .... Dabo will do what is best for the team. He has been pretty successful in the past.

What I want to see is the Cuse’ blast the Fighting Irish this weekend.

Syracuse is a very good football team. You didn’t need to look hard Saturday to see that. Wake is a very good football team. State and BC and FSU are winning teams. Nothing wrong with the Tigers resume imo... No way our team is left out of the mix if they continue to win.
What we need to have happen is for these other teams many of you hate to continue winning

Prediction: If the officials are diligent in calling holding on the S'cuse offensive line the Orange will score zero points against the Irish.

What good team gets +4 turnovers, starting opposing qb pulled and have a two minute drive to win. We gifted them the first half by poor play.

If the game situation allows Klubnik some snaps then sure. Just “Giving him a series” while the game is in the balance is not a great plan.

Earlier in the season, when we attempted to force Cade into the game for the purpose of giving him experience, it seemed to disrupt the flow of the offense and get the team off track. He did not perform well and we lost momentum. We used up snaps that could have built on the lead allowing him to come in later to mop up.

It would be great to get such a lead at Notre Dame that we could run Cade out there for the final 2-3 possessions.

Maybe it will happen.

100% agree. Game situation should dictate getting the freshman some work. Unfortunately, our problems playing 3 quarters of stifling defense has prevented getting Cade into the game to run the offense late in the 3rd and 4th quarters. On the road at FSU would have been ideal but the coaches got conservative and lost that opportunity.

I think Dabo loves the idea of getting his backup qb meaningful snaps with the 1st team offense. I think he actually did this a couple years ago, putting DJ in for Trevor for a series or two in the middle of a game. But like u said it disrupts offensive flow and is just too risky.
