Palming/carrying on every possession ...

I ranted about it yesterday. Just turned on the screen and OKST - Baylor was on. Every single player blatantly carries the ball on very possession - even when it's totally unnecessary to make a play. But make no mistake, nobody dribbles anymore, and if the rule were actually observed and enforced, the game as we know it would undergo a seismic shift, as all offense now is totally dependent upon an illegal move.

You are correct… palming or carrying whichever it is was called back when I played in school. It is just expected now. Not sure if dribbling is even taught anymore.

I also can not figure out when the ball handler and a defender collide; it's a no call. It has to be either a charge or a block. A collision can not by rule fail to be one or the other.

I agree. And you also can have 4 steps on a dunk. 3 or 4 on a layup.
