Its right around 74 - 76 degrees.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Maybe outside, but the water temp is prob much lower

May 24, 2013, 9:50 AM

Give it another month or so and it may get in the mid 60's.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Nope

May 24, 2013, 9:54 AM

The actual water temp has hovered between 72 - 75 the last couple of weeks. Changes slightly due to rain or a cooler night but the surface temp is around 73 -75 degrees.

Outside temp has been mid to high 80s***

you're crazy. Keowee is already in the 70s, on the north end, a mile from the jocassee ###, where my parent's house is.

The coldest I ever saw the water at our dock was 52 degrees in Mid-January

Here we go...

Great info, but seeing that Hartwell is much deeper and larger, it's going to take much longer to heat up. Lake Hartwell is bordering Georgia and South Carolina on the Savannah, Tugaloo, and Seneca Rivers. SO measurements may very (especially if you're reading from the bank). Go to the center and drop down about 6 feet and let me know how that feels.

Regardless, I hope you all have 70 degree + water this weekend.

P.S. The pool in my backyard isn't over 75 yet at the bottom of my ladder and I live in Flornece, SC which is much warmer & humid than the upstate.
