why Oklahoma's helmets say OU, when they are the University of Oklahoma? Seems like it would be the other way around.

OU = U of Oklahoma
NU = U of Nebraska
KU = U of Kansas
MU = U of Missouri
CU = U of Colorado

it's just what they do out there....no one has ever been able to explain it to me either.
